WELCOME
My name is Phillip Allan and I'm a songwriter based in Chester, Cheshire, UK. Currently I'm sharing ideas and works with songwriters, musicians, playwrights, poets and artists across the UK.
I have been recently composing jazz influenced tracks and performing these songs at sessions in Chester. One of my projects is the preparation a jazz portfolio of songs for submission to a music publisher.
I played at the Telfords Warehouse Songwriters Open Mic on Sunday 11th August 2024. My setlist for the show was;

Special thanks to Luos Johnson for inviting me to perform at the Westminster Park Summer Fun Day on the afternoon of Saturday 20th July at 4.25pm. I will be accompanied by the singer songwriter Chris Day and we will be playing some original tracks and premiering his new single 'A Very Nice Day'.

From the acclaimed director, author and actor Steve Berkoff comes the definitive stage version of the Oscar Wilde play ‘Salome’. The music for the trailer has been specially commissioned by Steven Berkoff. The song is called ‘Salome’ by the musical collective ‘The Heart Athletes’.

'Death Row' is the second commission by Mike Hynde to produce a video trailer for one of the poems from a book of poetry he published on Sunday 18th October 2020. It's called 'Dark Hearts and Other Twisted Poetry'. As you can tell by the title this is a far darker book than his first book of poetry called 'Hearts and Flowers'. It shows the potential synergy between a poem and a song.
