WELCOME
My name is Phillip Allan and welcome to my website. I'm a songwriter based in Chester, Cheshire, UK. Currently I'm sharing ideas and working with songwriters, musicians, playwrights, poets and artists across the UK.
I have been recently experimenting with fusing musical styles, composing commercial songs which don't fit into existing genres. Over the next few months I'll be performing these songs at various venues in the North West of England. Watch this space for further details.

From the acclaimed director, author and actor Steve Berkoff comes the definitive stage version of the Oscar Wilde play ‘Salome’. The music for the trailer has been specially commissioned by Steven Berkoff. The song is called ‘Salome’ by the musical collective ‘The Heart Athletes’.

'Death Row' is the second commission by Mike Hynde to produce a video trailer for one of the poems from a book of poetry he published on Sunday 18th October 2020. It's called 'Dark Hearts and Other Twisted Poetry'. As you can tell by the title this is a far darker book than his first book of poetry called 'Hearts and Flowers'. It shows the potential synergy between a poem and a song.
